Interactive Tools
When your bird is sick at 10pm
and the vet is closed.
These tools don't replace a vet. They help you know whether you need one urgently, and exactly what to do in the meantime.
Symptom Checker
Answer 5 questions. Know if it's an emergency, what it likely is, and what to do before you go to sleep tonight.
Dosage Calculator
Wrong dose can kill a bird faster than the illness. Get the exact amount for your bird's species and weight before you dose anything.
Egg Withdrawal
Antibiotic residue in eggs is a real risk. Know exactly how many days must pass before those eggs are safe to eat.
Drug Interactions
Some combinations that vets commonly prescribe together can be dangerous in poultry. Verify before you give the second medication.
Health Library
The signs your flock is
sending you right now.
These are the conditions that kill birds quietly. The earlier you catch them, the better the outcome. Every page covers conventional and natural treatment.
Marek's Disease
Spreads through feather dander before you see a single symptom. By the time one bird is paralyzed, the virus has already reached your entire flock.
Egg Binding
A hen straining, sitting on the ground, not moving. Most keepers think she's just broody. She has hours - not days - before this becomes fatal.
Bumblefoot
That small dark scab on the footpad? Grade 1 resolves with soaking and honey. Grade 3 requires surgery. Catching it early is everything.
Coccidiosis
Chicks with bloody droppings, huddled in a corner, not eating. It kills in 24-48 hours. It's also one of the most treatable conditions - if you catch it.
Vent Gleet
The most misunderstood condition in backyard keeping. Foul smell, pasty vent, weight loss - it's cloacal dysbiosis, not just a dirty bird. The real protocol goes far beyond 'clean the vent.'
Respiratory Infections
Wheezing doesn't tell you what's wrong. Mycoplasma, IB, ILT, and Newcastle all look similar and require completely different responses. Getting this wrong makes it worse.

Whatever you raise -
it's here.
Most poultry health sites were built for chickens and never updated. FlockVet covers ducks, turkeys, quail, and geese with the same clinical depth - because duck respiratory disease is not the same as chicken respiratory disease.
The alert you'll wish you had three days ago.
When bird flu arrives in your county. When a new parasite strain is spreading through your region. When something seasonal is killing flocks two states over and heading your way.
FlockVet monitors USDA APHIS disease alerts, state ag reports, and outbreak data - then sends you what matters for your specific birds and region. Before your birds start showing symptoms.
Most keepers find out about outbreaks from other keepers - after the fact. You don't have to.
